Step into Rockport Shoes to walk all over cancer
New pink shoe supports Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
This October, pink is the new black.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Rockport has created a special-edition Santa Inez shoe in pink kid suede. It is not only stylish, but also extremely comfortable.
The shoe retails for $80, and in October Rockport will donate $50,000 to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston to support breast cancer awareness, research, and care.
The Breast Oncology Center at Dana-Farber provides state-of-the-art care for women with breast cancer. Its leading oncologists had 35,000 patient visits last year and conducted more than 50 women's cancers clinical trials, benefiting both current and future patients from around the world.
Eric Winer, MD, director of Dana-Farber's Breast Oncology Center says, "Through the generosity and vision of our donors, we have been able to provide a high level of clinical care for our patients while advancing our knowledge of the disease through novel laboratory and clinical research."
Rockport has supported breast cancer awareness, care and research at Dana-Farber for four years, raising more than $150,000 for the cause.
