Bruce Johnson, MD, to discuss advances in cancer research during online chat, May 19

Dana-Farber's Bruce Johnson, MD, will be the featured expert during an online chat at People Living With Cancer (www.plwc.org), the patient information Web site from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The chat, titled "Advances in Cancer Research: News from ASCO's 2005 Annual Meeting," will take place on May 19, from 2-3 p.m.
During the chat, Dr. Johnson, chair of the ASCO Cancer Communications Committee, will answer questions on topics such as:
- Targeted therapies
- Gastrointestinal cancers
- Cancer prevention
- Quality cancer care
- Using genetic markets to predict treatment response and patient outcomes
