Patrick Park
Patrick Park is a director of Park Corporation, a company founded by his father Raymond in 1949. The multi-national corporation is based in Cleveland, Ohio, with businesses located around the United States and the world. Forbes Magazine has listed it three times over the last decade amongst the top "400 Companies."
The family held group of companies has numerous manufacturing operations including WHEMCO Group, as well as an automotive stamping plant, a copper mine in Arizona and road building equipment in South America. Park Corporation operates the International Exposition Center (IX Center) in Cleveland and owns and manages commercial and industrial real estate across the nation.
Park Corporation partnered with Steve Wynn to build one of the first luxury condominium buildings in Las Vegas – Park Towers. They purchased American Axle based in Detroit and built it into the largest axle manufacturing company in America. Blackstone Group would later purchase the firm. With takeover giant Wilbur Ross they created International Steel Group (ISG). ISG was later sold to Mittal Steel.
In the Palm Beach, Mr. Park has served as honorary chairman and chairman of the American Cancer Society gala, honorary chairman and chairman of the American Heart Association gala, chairman of the Center for Family Services "Dinner Dance" He is a major benefactor of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Easter Seals, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Planned Parenthood, Tri-County Humane Society, American Red Cross, Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital and Leaders In Furthering Education. Mr. Park has been a member of the Founders' Circle of Kravis Center, and served on boards of the Palm Beach Opera and Florida Philharmonic.
In Cleveland, Mr. Park served as the chairman of the United Way and his family is currently trustees of the Cleveland Clinic. The Park Corporation, Park family and the Park Foundation have made countless gifts throughout the United States to healthcare, educational, civic and arts organizations.
