The General and Gastrointestinal Surgery Division
The General and Gastrointestinal Surgery Division of Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center has a rich heritage in the development of cutting-edge surgical services.
The division currently performs almost 10,000 procedures a year. Recent developments have been in the areas of colorectal surgery, laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgery, minimally invasive endocrine surgery, and an expanded metabolic support service.
Both surgeons and radiation therapists are located on the Brigham and Woman's campus while the medical oncologists are located at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. A combined consultation can be arranged either at Brigham and Women's Hospital or at one of the clinics within the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
