Sarah Schulte and Lindsay Roache, pediatric advisory council members

At 20 years old, Lindsay Roache is a three-year veteran of the Pediatric Patient and Family Advisory Council. Along with former council member Sarah Schulte, she helped coordinate a survey of teens undergoing treatment at the Jimmy Fund Clinic. "We found out what would make their experience in the clinic a little better," says Roache.
Based in part on the survey results, a number of changes are now evident in the clinic, including more comfortable seating, an additional computer, and individual TVs in the infusion rooms. In addition, more community events for teens are being planned and a new teen activities specialist is soon to come onboard.
