  • Ann Bookman

    Ann Bookman is a national authority on work and family issues. Her son was diagnosed at age 18 with acute myelogenous leukemia. read more

  • Martie Carnie

    Martie Carnie, an 18-year, three-time survivor of breast and melanoma cancers, is a founding member and past co-chair of Dana-Farber's Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council. read more

  • Maureen Costello

    Maureen Costello has worked at the MIT Office of the Arts, the Cultural Education Collaborative and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She has been a patient at Dana-Farber since 1990. read more

  • Michele Dechiaro

    Michele Dechiaro works as a counselor in a middle school. She was diagnosed in 2005 with Hodgkin's lymphoma and was successfully treated at Dana-Farber and is currently healthy and enjoying life. read more

  • Kari Dudley

    Kari Dudley, a vice president within the financial services industry, is a two-time cancer survivor. read more

  • Trudi Feinstein

    Presently on the faculty at Boston University, Trudi Feinstein has been a professor of Psychology for the past 25 years. She was diagnosed with Stage I breast cancer in January 1999. read more

  • Thomas Foley

    Thomas Foley, a health insurance professional, recently joined the Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council. His wife, Alicia, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. read more

  • Ellen Frank

    Ellen Frank is a retired biotechnology executive. She was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in December 1996. read more

  • Mary Dana Gershanoff

    Mary Dana Gershanoff, who retired from IBM after 34 years of service there, became a member of the Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council in 2002 and was named co-chair in 2004. She was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in May 2000. read more

  • Judie Beard Ham

    For the past 39 years, Judie Beard Ham has worked in clinical research and medical research administration in several Boston area hospitals. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 1993 and colon cancer in June 1993. read more

  • Martha Hayward

    Martha Hayward, a marketing and communications consultant, joined the Council in January 2007, 18 months after being treated for breast cancer. read more

  • Brenda Henry-Brown

    Brenda Henry-Brown, a Dana-Farber patient, brings professional expertise as a technology consultant and business manager to the Adult Patient Family Advisory Council. read more

  • Barbara Holtz

    Barbara Holtz is active on several committees as a patient advocate and was co-editor of Side by Side for two years. She was diagnosed with Stage II invasive ductal carcinoma in 2001. read more

  • Anne Hristov

    Anne Hristov is an attorney, currently working for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue's Litigation Bureau as a counsel for the commissioner of revenue. She was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia in May 2003. read more

  • Mellie Hutchinson

    Mellie Hutchinson has lived in New England for the last 22 years and has been involved in volunteer work for much of that time. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2005. read more

  • Baila Janock

    Baila Janock was educated as a medical technologist and has held a variety of volunteer and part-time positions at Dana-Farber. Her husband was treated at Dana-Farber for pancreatic cancer. read more

  • Henry King

    Henry King has worked as an inventory coordinator for Stop & Shop Company for many years. His wife, Fran King, was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in June 1998. read more

  • Maryann MacIntyre

    Maryann MacIntyre is a senior finance professional and banker who enjoys the challenges of managing the liquidity positions of commercial clients. She joined the Adult Patient & Family Advisory Council in September 2006 after undergoing successful surgery and completing chemoradiation treatments earlier in the year. read more

  • Debra Marks

    Debra Marks has been an oncology nurse for more than 20 years. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. read more

  • Regina (Reggie) Mead

    Reggie Mead is a past co-chair of the Adult Patient Family Advisory Council. She was treated for breast cancer at Dana-Farber. read more

  • Joseph Nies

    Joe Nies is a long-time cancer survivor and founding member of Dana-Farber's Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council, serving as co-chair for three years. read more

  • Marlene Nusbaum

    Marlene Nusbaum has been a marketing and management professional for over 20 years. She was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in October 2003. read more

  • Robert Ocko

    Robert Ocko is a former commercial banker who has recently pursued his passion for food and become the area developer for an upscale café called Camille's Sidewalk Café. He was diagnosed with sarcoma in 1995. read more

  • Mary Phillips

    Mary Phillips has been an attorney for the past 20 years. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2001 and participated in a clinical trial at Dana-Farber. read more

  • Jim Stam

    Jim Stam, who directs his own management consulting business, currently serves as co-chair of Dana-Farber's Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council. His late wife had pancreatic cancer in 2002-03. read more

  • Marjorie Cotton Supple

    Marjorie Cotton Supple was Executive Director of the American Diabetes Association and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for more than 20 years. She was diagnosed in March 2006 with stage II breast cancer and was treated at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center at Faulkner Hospital. read more

  • Tony Triano

    Tony Triano is a human resources professional and has worked in both financial services and consulting for over 15 years. He was treated at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in 2000 and joined the Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council in 2006. read more

  • Scott Viera

    We will always remember Scott Viera, co-chair and member emeritus of the Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council, who died on March 7, 2008. Scott was diagnosed with Stage III colorectal cancer in 2001. read more
