Light One Little Candle
The Light One Little Candle Foundation at Dana-Farber is working to make lasting connections for families through the wonderful world of literature. Cancer patients at Dana-Farber can find children's books for their own children to keep. The donated book contains a uniquely designed bookplate inserted where patients can write special notes to their children, creating their own memories.
Joelle Pauporte, a young mother, doctor, and a breast cancer patient, created the Light One Little Candle Book Foundation. It was her wish that even during difficult times other parents with cancer can find the same comfort and joy she experienced with her daughter through reading.
If you would like to be a part of our plan to help comfort the children of cancer patients with a treasured book, you may send any new children's book of your choice to:
