Parking at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Where do I park?

You can park in the Dana Building garage (44 Binney St.) or, if it is full, across the street in the Smith Building garage (One Jimmy Fund Way). See maps and directions. Please have your patient I.D. card ready. New patients should talk with the attendant.

An indoor bridge connects the Smith and Dana buildings. Take the Smith lobby elevators to the third floor, turn left, and follow signs to the Dana building.

Will someone help me?

A security officer and a garage attendant are at the Dana entrance for patients who need wheelchairs, help getting into the building, or assisted (valet) parking. Attendants are available weekdays during clinic hours.

Do I park myself?

You are welcome to park your own car if space is available, or you may use our valet parking program by leaving your car and keys with the parking attendant. During busy times, valet staff may need to park all cars.

When leaving, patients who have used valet parking may get their keys from the attendant on the floor where their car is parked, or from the cashier. If it is hard for you to retrieve your car, your clinic staff can ask the parking attendant to bring your car to the Dana entrance.

Patients who park themselves may be asked to leave their car keys with an attendant when the garage is very busy.

How much does parking cost?

  • 0-1 hour: $3
  • 1-2 hours: $4
  • 2-3 hours: $8
  • 3-24 hours: $10

There is no extra charge for valet parking. Accepted forms of payment are cash, check, or credit card. Please show your garage ticket and patient I.D. card at the cashier booth when leaving.

If you parked in the Smith Garage, please pay for your parking at the Smith Lobby Parking Cashier before returning to your vehicle.

If you have financial hardship, please see your care team about parking fees.

What do I do in an emergency?

Parking staff can help with flat tires, dead batteries, towing, and taxi vouchers to nearby locations.

When can I park?

The Dana Garage is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Smith Garage is open 6 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday through Friday only. To exit the Smith Garage after hours, use the phone next to the exit booth. Lift the receiver to be connected to Security.

What if I have an appointment at another hospital?

On days that you have appointments at Brigham and Women’s Hospital or Children’s Hospital Boston, please park there. Space in the Dana-Farber garages is very limited.

How can a person with a disability get help with parking?

The Security office will be happy to help you. If you have general questions about resources for people with disabilities, call the ADA coordinator at (617) 632-5963 or (617) 632-4880 (voice only) or (617) 632-5330 (TDD only).

To receive your discount, please show your garage ticket and patient I.D. card to the Smith Lobby Parking Cashier or at the ticket booth as you exit.
